Reflexology with Hollie

Foot and Hand Reflexology Treatment

Reflexology is a holistic therapy, suitable for anybody at any age. Treatment involves applying pressure to reflexes on the hands and feet to naturally promote balance and healing within the body and mind. It can be used alongside standard medical care to reduce stress and encourage relaxation, enabling individuals to cope more efficiently in everyday life.

The reflexes, or pressure points, mirror and can be used to stimulate organs and areas of the body. The hands and feet function as ‘mini maps’. Reflexes can also be worked through the face and ears.

Your Foot and Hand Reflexology Appointment

Your Holistics with Hollie appointment will begin with a 15 minute consultation. We will discuss your general health, lifestyle, and any conditions you would like me to focus on. This enables me to adapt your reflexology treatment to benefit you the most.

Reflexology is not suitable for certain conditions, and sometimes a shorter treatment or lighter pressure will be recommended.

After your consultation, you will be invited to take a seat in my Lafuma reflexology chair, which will then be reclined for your comfort. Next, your feet or hands will be cleansed, and I will wash my hands before starting your treatment.

Foot Treatment

You will be able to choose from a variety of reflexology waxes for your treatment, including an unscented vegan option.

As your foot reflexology treatment will work on the ankles and bottom of the lower leg, it is advisable to wear clothing that can be rolled up easily. You can read more tips for making your treatment perfect for you here.

Your foot treatment will begin with a five minute relaxation sequence, followed by zone walking, before working through the reflexes for each part of the body. Following this, I will work on the areas agreed on during your consultation. Finally, the treatment will finish with a further five minutes of relaxation techniques. Your full foot treatment will last around 45 minutes. A reflexology aftercare leaflet will be provided at the end of your treatment.

Hand Treatment

As with a foot treatment, you will have a choice of waxes for use on your hands.

Your hand treatment works on the wrists, so it is advisable to wear short sleeves or a top that can be rolled up comfortably. Jewellery will need to be put in a safe place.

Your hand treatment will begin with a relaxation sequence, followed by zone walking, before working through the reflexes for each part of the body. As with feet, I will work on the areas discussed during your consultation. Lastly, your treatment will be completed by another round of relaxation techniques. Your full hand treatment will last around 20 minutes. A reflexology aftercare leaflet will be provided at the end of your treatment.
